Salvation plan

Plan of Salvation / Salvation Prayer

PLAN OF SALVATION

A plan is a method (way) to accomplish something that is desired. God has a plan for you to: be reconnected with Him, be made into a new creature, walk in full possession of your privileges, and avoid eternal damnation.  The subsequent paragraphs will show you His plan and how you can access it and receive its results.

Love

God’s plan was and is inspired by His love for you. Love is an:

  • Unselfish loyal and benevolent concern for the good (meeting of needs and/or purpose fulfillment) of another.

The depth of God’s love for you is exhibited in the following scripture:

  • John 3:16 ~ For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Sin

God hates sin and will not tolerate it in His presence. Sin is:

  • Transgression of the law of God
  • An offense against religious or moral law

God wants you to know that, no matter how good you think you are, you are a sinner.

This is evidenced by the following scripture:

  • Romans 3:23 ~ For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

Salvation

God, knowing that He loves you and knowing that He hates sin, made a way of escape and empowerment for you. Salvation is:

  • Deliverance from the power, effects, and penalty of sin.

The following scripture describes salvation, our need for it, and where it comes from:

  • Psalm 79:9 ~ Help us, O God of our salvation, for the glory of thy name: and deliver us, and purge away our sins, for thy name's sake.

Faith

The first thing that you will need, to access God’s plan for you, is faith. You have to believe, that God’s plan will work and that you need it, before you can receive the results of it. Faith is:

  • Belief and trust in and loyalty to God; Complete trust.

The following scriptures support the assertion that faith is needed to access the salvation God has for you:

  • Ephesians 2:8 ~ For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:

  • John 1:12 ~ But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:

Put Faith In Action

To access the salvation that God has for you, you have to put your mouth where your heart is. In other words, you have to verbally state what you believe.

The following scripture illustrates this point:

  • Romans 10:8-10 ~ But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach; That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

New Creature

Once you have, truthfully and sincerely, confessed with your mouth what you believed in your heart, you will be a new creature in Jesus Christ. The Holy Spirit of God will dwell on the inside of you for the purpose of leading and guiding you into all truth. Being a new creature entails:

  • Being other than the former or old Human being

The following scriptures tell you about this:

  • 1 Corinthians 5:17 ~ Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

  • John 7:38 ~ He, who believes in me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water. But this He spoke concerning the Spirit, Whom those believing in Him would receive; for the Holy Spirit was not yet given, because Jesus was not yet glorified*

* Now, He has been glorified and the Holy Spirit dwells inside His new creature

  • John 16:13 ~ However, when He, the Spirit of Truth (The Holy Spirit) has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears; He will speak; and He will show you things to come.

Are You Ready?

If you have read the information that was provided to you and you want to receive salvation, please pray the following prayer:

Father, it is written in Your Word, that if I confess with my mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in my heart that You have raised Him from the dead, I shall be saved.

Therefore, Father, I confess that Jesus is my Lord.  I make Him Lord of my life right now. I believe that You raised Jesus from the dead. I renounce my past life with Satan and close the door to any of his devices.

I thank You for forgiving me of all my sin.

Jesus is my Lord, and I am a new creation.  Old things have passed away.

Now all things become new in Jesus’ name.

I ask that You fill me with Your Holy Spirit. Teach me Your will for my life.

Teach me Your ways, in Jesus’ name.

 Amen.
